Federal housing minister, Julie Collins, continues to wax lyrical about Labor’s housing and homelessness plan, claiming she is incredibly passionate about “making sure that more Australians have a safe place to call home”:

Ms Collins said she was working with state and territory governments and the construction sector on the issues. Before the May election, Labor promised 30,000 new social and affordable housing properties in five years, including 20,000 for frontline workers and women facing domestic violence…

Earlier this month, Labor announced plans to make up to $575 million from the National Housing Infrastructure Facility available for investment in affordable housing…
