Labor laments housing shortage, then pumps record immigration

Last week, federal Minister Housing and Homelessness, Julie Collins, gave an interview on the Today Show where she blamed Australia’s housing crisis on a lack of supply:

“Ultimately [the housing crisis] is an issue of supply, and we need to get more homes on the ground as quickly as we can. And that’s what we’re working towards”…

“What we need is some national leadership with the states and territories, and that’s what we are providing… We’ve got a suite of policies that we took to the election, and we are looking to implement them as soon as we possibly can”…
