In a report titled ‘Housing for All’, Anglicare Australia claims that housing in Australia is in “meltdown” and that the housing market has never been more volatile or less affordable”.

The charity wants 500,000 new social housing and low-cost rental properties to be constructed over the next 20 years:

To say that housing in Australia is broken is an understatement. It is in meltdown, and we won’t be able to truly fix it until we redesign our housing policies so that they work for everyone.
