Federal anti-corruption commission to debut in late 2022

Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus has confirmed that businesses that provide services to the federal government will come under the jurisdiction of its proposed national integrity commission.

With the commonwealth spending around $70 billion a year on contracts, Dreyfus has told the Castan Centre for Human Rights Law Conference that the government is committed to legislating a national integrity commission by the end of 2022.

The body is likely to be called the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), with Dreyfus using that term during his speech, and also the acronym ‘NACC’:
