New car sales fall on global chip shortage

Australian new car sales fell 0.6% year-on-year in March on the back of ongoing supply disruptions, according to the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI).
A total of 101,233 new cars were sold in March compared with 100,005 in March 2021 and 81,690 in March 2020.
