CoreLogic weekly house price update: Boom & Bust
In the week ended 7 April, the CoreLogic daily dwelling values index rose 0.13%:

Sydney and Melbourne continued to flatline, whereas Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth recorded strong to solid rises:

Over the year to date, dwelling values have risen by 1.6% across the five major capitals led by Brisbane and Adelaide:

Quarterly growth across the five major markets has moderated further to 1.3%, with massive variation across the capitals:

Annual growth remains strong (but fading) at 15.9%, with Brisbane and Adelaide leading:

Australia’s housing market is two-speed, with Brisbane and Adelaide booming and Melbourne and Sydney stalling:

In fact, Melbourne’s quarterly growth has just turned negative with Sydney’s about to follow.
