Still extreme tightness in property listings

PropTrack has released its listings report for March 2022, which shows that despite a rebound in new listings, total listings are tracking well below historical averages across both capital city and regional areas:

At the national level, total listings were down 0.7% year-on-year in March across the capital cities, and down a whopping 21.5% across the combined regions:

However, as shown above, there was massive divergence across the states with severe tightness across Queensland (Brisbane) and South Australian (Adelaide), whereas listings have risen significantly across Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Darwin.
