New car sales rebound amid worsening chip shortage

Australian new car sales rose 1.6% year-on-year in February on the back of easing supply disruptions, according to the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI).

A total of 85,340 new cars were sold in February compared with 83,977 in February 2021 and 79,970 in February 2020.
