Essential Research has released its fortnightly poll on voting intentions, which shows that the Australian Labor Party (ALP) has maintained a 49% (steady) two-party preferred lead over to the Coalition on 44% (down 1%), with 7% of voters still undecided (down 1%):
More worrying for the Morrison Government is that an increasing share of Australians (48%) believe that it is time to give someone else a go, with those believing the Coalition should be reelected slipping to under one-third (32%):
Not even the Russian-Ukraine war can save the Coalition, with voters perceiving Labor to be just as well equipped to handle the crisis:
Clearly, the tide is going out on the Coalition at the worst possible time. Prime Minister Scott Morrison should start packing up his belongings from The Lodge and Kirribilli House.
