Roy Morgan has released polling surrounding the federal Liberal leadership, with Treasurer Josh Frydenberg preferred to lead the Coalition into the upcoming federal election:
Now 38.5% of Australians prefer Treasurer Josh Frydenberg to lead the L-NP Government, clearly ahead of current Prime Minister Scott Morrison (31%) and Defence Minister Peter Dutton (12.5%) while 2% named someone else and 16% had no preference.
Importantly for Prime Minister Morrison, he is still preferred by L-NP supporters: Morrison (40%) cf. Frydenberg (32.5%), according to a special Roy Morgan SMS Poll of 1,080 Australian electors conducted yesterday and Monday, February 14-15, 2022.
