The imminent conflict in Ukraine is the “Psycho” Morrison Government’s latest attempt to wag the dog:
Scott Morrison has said Australia won’t send troops to Ukraine in the event of an invasion by Russia but will provide “practical” assistance to allies.
The US president, Joe Biden, believes Russia’s Vladimir Putin has made a decision to invade Ukraine and will do so within weeks or days.
Morrison said an invasion was “regrettably inevitable”, with intelligence showing Russian troops have not been withdrawn from the border.
“The pretence has been sought for an invasion,” Morrison told reporters in Darwin on Saturday. “There is no pretence for an invasion into Ukraine. There is no justification for it. There is no provocation of it.”
Morrison said Australia would stand by its like-minded allies and provide “support that is necessary”.
What will that be, I wonder. Guarding a supply dump in Czechoslovakia?
Honestly, the mind boggles at Australia’s mentally ill PM using nothing more than harsh language to attack the world’s most dangerous nuclear superpower:
Cometh the moment, cometh the blinding idiot, I guess:

Australia should provide whatever support NATO asks for as a downpayment on future Asian conflicts. But only if NATO does not attempt to fight Russia for Ukraine. That is not in anybody’s interests. Including Australia’s. Ukraine is an oligarchic oil narco-state and NATO overreached in seeking to expand to it.
Given twentieth-century history, Russia has every right to not want NATO on its doorstep and Europe should have understood that.
The truth is, “Psycho” Morrison doesn’t give two hoots about Ukraine other than what it does for domestic politics:
Prime Minister Scott Morrison has criticised China for not denouncing Russia’s “threats of terrible violence” against Ukraine.
…“We denounce it. The United States denounces it. Peace-loving, free nations all around the world are denouncing it,” he told reporters on Friday.
“Those who do not denounce the violence that Russia is threatening Ukraine with, well, that leaves me very concerned.
“The Chinese government is yet to denounce those threats of violence and I urge them to do so.
“They seek to play, they say, a positive role in global peace. Well, they could immediately denounce the threats of violence.
This segues into this:
Australian media yesterday cited Australian Minister for Defence Peter Dutton as saying that China would likely ramp up its pressure on Taiwan if Russia were to invade Ukraine.
And these Facebook ads:

Morrison’s psychos want a khaki election and they’d doubtless be thrilled if a piqued Russia lobbed a few ICBMs our way to get it.
God help us if a Taiwan crisis erupts while Morrison’s phony hard men are in charge. We’ve already had a taste of it in Peter Dutton’s confectionary warmongering.
Like Ukraine, Taiwan is not some bastion of freedom. It is in a long-standing civil conflict with a neighbouring hegemon over governance. Also like Ukraine, there is no treaty with Western powers to protect it for this very reason.
If it comes, that conflict must be used not for unwinnable wars, but to excise Russia and China from global markets so that their economies are strangled by capital and commodity drought.
In that sense, any Russian invasion of Ukraine is good because it will cut European energy ties to Russia and substitute them with US gas and oil. That helps tie NATO to any Pacific contest so when the time comes to embargo Wall Street capital into China, Europe (that is, Germany) can be shoehorned into it.
Let these tyrants get bogged down in the proxy wars of their choice.
Including the local despot of slob.
