First home buying boom usurped by investors

The latest mortgage data from the ABS showed that after first home buyers (FHBs) experienced an epic boom in 2020, they have since been replaced by investors:


The latest results from Stockland shows a similar trend, with net deposits from FHBs fading, replaced by investor deposits:

Judging by the data, investors have taken hold of the housing baton.
