Coalition MPs threaten to cross floor on anti-corruption commission

In the lead up to the last federal election Prime Minister Scott Morrison promised a national anti-corruption commission.
Instead, Morrison put forward a farcical model that experts believed would actually “hide corruption, not expose it”. Accordingly, it was opposed in parliament.
This week, the government shelved legislation to establish a commonwealth integrity commission until after the upcoming election.
