Aussie property boom fizzles as Sydney prices fall

CoreLogic has released its daily index results for 28 February, which reveals that Australia’s property boom is fading fast with values across the five major capitals rising only 0.3% over the month – the softest growth since October 2020:

Sydney dwelling values fell 0.1% in February and Melbourne’s were flat. By contrast, price growth remained strong in Brisbane (2.0%) and Adelaide (1.5%), and softer in Perth (0.3%):

So far in 2022, dwelling values nationally have risen 1.1%, again led by Brisbane (4.3%) and Adelaide (3.8%):
