Aussie immigration swings back into positive

After two years in the red, Australia’s immigration has turned positive following the opening of the international border to ‘skilled’ workers, international students and working holiday makers in November.

According to new overseas and arrivals data from the ABS, a net 23,150 permanent and long-term arrivals landed in Australia in December, pushing the quarterly intake into positive territory (+13,410):

Annual net permanent and long-term arrivals also edged into positive territory (+1,260):
