AFR demands Big Australia immigration

The big business shills at The AFR View have penned another article warning that Australia risks being left “with 1.5 million fewer people than expected by the end of the decade” and, therefore, must quickly reboot “Bigger Australia” immigration:

After the pandemic led to the lowest population growth in a century, the onus is on the federal government to start increasing migration for a bigger Australia…

While Australia has kept COVID-19 deaths at levels comparable with a bad flu season, declines in the birth rate and virus-hit migration have meant the lowest population growth in a century. That really puts the onus back on the federal government to start ramping up immigration rates to normal levels, or perhaps the doubling to 400,000 that NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet’s advice suggested last year…
