SA and QLD COVID cases surge higher

South Australia has recorded another 688 new COVID cases over the past 24 hours, taking its active cases to 1814:

Queensland also recorded 589 new cases taking active cases to 1320:

SA Premier Steven Marshall has announced that restrictions will not be eased on December 28 and has called on South Australians to work from home, as cases continue to rise.
