  1. Small risk potential that Omicron infects and causes relatively severe disease in infants and young children (under 4). If so this would constitute almost guaranteed lockdowns and border closures. Young kids can’t have vaccines and 0-6month haven’t got developed immune systems plus there’s way fewer paediatric ICU beds around than adult ones. Plus folks would be much more willing to stomach restrictions if yer “doin it for the kids”

    This idea is based on limited and speculative data so can be taken with a grain of salt but worth keeping an eye on.
