EBAs signal uptick in wage growth

New data from the Attorney’s General Department (AGD) shows that 1.65 million workers in Australia are now covered by enterprise agreements, down from 1.89 million a year ago.

In total, enterprise agreements (including federal and state) covered 37.9% (rounded) of all Australian employees in May 2018 (latest available data).

Wages across all new EBAs grew by 0.3% to 2.7% in the September quarter:
