Skilled job vacancies hit 13-year high

Data from the National Skills Commission (NSC) highlights the labour market’s rebound from the COVID-19 pandemic. The number of job vacancies advertised online rose by 8% to 250,900 in October, which is the highest level in 13 years.

NSW accounted for the bulk of the new jobs, as the state exited an extended lockdown; there was also strong growth in Victoria and the ACT, which also emerged from lockdowns.
