Crossbenchers fight to overhaul Dictator Dan’s pandemic bill

The Victorian government is still negotiating with upper house crossbenchers regarding its pandemic bill. It will most likely have to accept some compromises to secure the crossbenchers’ support.

Amongst other things, the crossbenchers are expected to push for pandemic orders to be subject to review by a joint parliamentary committee and the addition of a sunset clause to the legislation.
