SEEK job ads show incredibly tight labour market

SEEK has released job ads data for September, which rebounded 6.0% month-on-month to be up 56.7% year-on-year. Job ads were also 24.7% higher than they were in September 2019:

However, in a sign that Australia’s job market is incredibly tight – thanks to the sharp reduction in migrant workers – actual applications per jobs have tanked, down 0.8% month-on-month and 34.9% compared with September 2019:
