The COVID situation across Sydney continues to improve with only 594 locally acquired cases recorded over the past 24 hours alongside 10 deaths:

The age profile of the deaths are as follows:
- One person was in their 40s
- One person was in their 60s
- Four people were in their 70s
- Two people were in their 80s
- Two people were in their 90s
Three people were not vaccinated, four people had received one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, and three people had received two doses.
There have been 395 COVID-19 related deaths in NSW since 16 June 2021 and 451 in total since the start of the pandemic.
There are currently 959 COVID-19 cases admitted to hospital, with 188 people in intensive care, 93 of whom require ventilation.
There were 90,680 COVID-19 tests reported to 8pm last night.
Across NSW, 88.6% of people aged 16 and over have received a first vaccine dose and 67.7% are fully vaccinated.

NSW’s Reff has also fallen further to 0.85, according to COVIDBaseAU. Because it is below 1.0, this means cases will continue to fall:

Finally, NSW is scheduled to exit lockdown on Monday after it hits the 70% full vaccination threshold.
