Is it a jobs boom or quits boom?

Earlier today Leith posted some charts from a market jobs provider showing a big jump in job ads post-lockdown.

There are some quite unusual questions to be asked about this kind of data at the moment.

The first is whether or not more jobs ads are reflective of an expanding jobs market or only increased churn within it. There is a quits boom going on, driven by Millennial dissatisfaction:
