Victoria’s COVID outbreak spirals out of control

As Melburnians head into their 212th day of hard lockdown since the start of the pandemic, they have been greeted with the depressing news that the state’s COVID outbreak continues to spiral out of control, with another 176 new locally acquired cases reported overnight:

Of the 176 locally acquired cases, 83 have been linked to known cases and outbreaks.
