As Melburnians head into their 212th day of hard lockdown since the start of the pandemic, they have been greeted with the depressing news that the state’s COVID outbreak continues to spiral out of control, with another 176 new locally acquired cases reported overnight:
Reported yesterday: 176 new local cases and no new cases acquired overseas.
