Victoria’s COVID outbreak soars by 324

Victoria’s COVID outbreak has well and truly grown out of control with locally acquired cases surging by 324 over the past 24 hours:

More than two-thirds of these are mystery cases. Of the 324 local cases, only 107 have so far been linked to known cases and outbreaks.

The next chart illustrates the situation, with the 324 cases recorded today easily the highest this outbreak:

Given Victoria’s outbreak is running around 6 weeks behind NSW, Melburnians are facing a dark October and November.
