NSW Health has recorded another 1405 locally acquired COVID infections over the past 24 hours:
NSW recorded 1,405 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.

Five more people have died with COVID:
- A woman in her 40s
- Two people in their 70s
- Two people in their 80s
There have been 153 COVID-19 related deaths in NSW since 16 June 2021.
There are currently 1,175 COVID-19 cases admitted to hospital, with 202 people in intensive care, 80 of whom require ventilation.

Burnet Institute modelling tipped that NSW cases in the local government areas of most concern would peak later this month with NSW hospitalisations peaking late-October.
