NSW records 1257 COVID cases, 7 deaths

NSW Health has recorded another 1257 locally acquired COVID cases:

Seven more people have died with COVID:

  • A woman in her 60s;
  • Three people in their 80s; and
  • Three people in their 90s.

There have been 184 COVID-19 related deaths in NSW since 16 June 2021.

There are currently 1,189 COVID-19 cases admitted to hospital, with 222 people in intensive care, 94 of whom require ventilation.

There are now 14,633 active COVID cases across NSW, which mysteriously halved last week after the government changed the definition:

On a brighter note, the percentage of people aged 16+ in NSW that have received one vaccine dose has risen to 78.5% with 46.2% fully vaccinated.
