Victoria has recorded another 73 locally acquired COVID cases over the past 24 hours, which follows the 64 cases recorded on Saturday and the 92 cases on Sunday:

Over the weekend, Victorian Premier Dan Andrews confirmed that Victoria’s hard lockdown, which was due to finish on 2 September, would be extended for at least another week.
While it was expected, this is tough news for Melburnians who have suffered through seven months of hard lockdowns since the start of the pandemic.
