Victoria has recorded another 24 local COVID cases over the past 24 hours:
Reported yesterday: 24 new local cases and 1 new case acquired overseas (currently in HQ).

Of the 24 locally-acquired cases, 21 are linked to known outbreaks and 14 have been in isolation throughout their infectious period. This means that 7 were infectious in the community.

Victoria now has around 225 active local COVID cases recorded across the state, which continue to rise:

As announced yesterday, Melbourne’s lockdown has been extended to 2 September (one month duration). Restrictions have also been tightened with households effectively now held captive in their homes. It’s like 2020 all over again.
