Analysis of 800 jobs by the National Skills Commission (NSC) claims that one in five occupations in Australia is suffering from skill shortages.

Occupations suffering the most acute skills shortages include:

  • Accountants and auditors;
  • Cooks and Chefs; and
  • Engineers.
