NSW Health reported another 390 local COVID cases over the past 24 hours – a new daily record:

Of these locally acquired cases, 140 are linked to a known case or cluster – 118 are household contacts and 22 are close contacts – and the source of infection for 250 cases is under investigation.
98 cases were in isolation throughout their infectious period and 43 were in isolation for part of their infectious period. 58 cases were infectious in the community, and the isolation status of 191 remains under investigation.
Another two people died from the virus – a women in her 40s and a man in his 90s.
There are currently 391 people with COVID in hospital of which 63 are in ICU.
