NSW jobs market smashed by lockdown

The ABS today released Payroll Jobs and Wages data for the week ended 31 July, which showed that Sydney’s lockdown has badly impacted the state’s job market.

Nationally, payroll jobs fell by 2.0% over the week whereas wages fell 2.7%:
