The ABS has released its Weekly Payroll Jobs and Wages in Australia data for the week ending 5 June 2021, which recorded a 0.9% decline in payroll jobs and a 1.6% decrease in total wages:
Slowing momentum.
The declines were driven by Victoria’s hard lockdown:
