As Australia’s abject vaccine failure lingers, with new lockdowns in Victoria, Qantas may step in where the Morrison Government fears to tread:
- Qantas is mulling free vouchers for or frequent flyer miles for the vaccinated.
- Other incentives are also being considered.
Why the Morrison Government hasn’t taken the carrot and stick approach to skyrocketing vaccine hesitancy is an interesting question. Is it too much to assert that keeping the borders closed until after the coming election is the reason?
After all, state governments that have had hard border controls have rampaged to victory.

I wouldn’t put it past the personality disordered PM to risk the life, limb and economy of his people to deliver himself another term. Not at all.
