Morrison Government wants wages frozen

The Morrison Government continues to talk with a forked tongue on the labour market.

On the one hand, it claims that Australia is “facing a shortage of skilled labour almost unprecedented in our history, and we can solve this through skilled migration”.

But then when it comes to employers actually paying higher wages to solve said labour shortages, the Morrison Government is outright hostile.
