Aussies hoard annual leave amid closed borders

It seems the closure of Australia’s international and domestic borders has driven the total days of annual leave accrued across the country to an all-time high 175 million days, according to Roy Morgan Research. This is up from 151.2 million days a year ago prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Australians are hoarding annual leave.

In particular, there has been increases in the number of Australians with annual leave due for all time periods longer than two weeks.
