Young Aussies face another “decade of disadvantage”

Economists claim that young workers were still trying to overcome the effects of the global financial crisis when COVID-19 first struck. They are now worried that young people will face another “decade of disadvantage” if the federal government does not use the Budget on 11 May as an opportunity to tackle a rise in youth unemployment.
Mission Australia has found that an increasing number of young Australians missed out on education in 2020, while the government is being urged to do more in the area of skills reform.
