When will politicians learn that hotels are unsuitable for quarantine?

Over the weekend it was reported that a family of three contracted COVID from infected neighbours in an adjoining room at the Adina Apartment quarantine hotel in Sydney.

The families had returned from different countries on different days, thus it is presumed they contracted the virus via the hotel’s ventilation system.

Yesterday, another hotel quarantine transmission was reported after the virus jumped across rooms at the Mercure Hotel on George St in Sydney’s CBD:
