Australia’s fertility rate hits new low

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has released its Births 2019 survey, which reported that Australia’s fertility rate hit a new record low:

The total fertility rate required for replacement is currently considered to be around 2.1 babies per woman to replace herself and her partner.
