Auction market heats up

CoreLogic’s preliminary auction clearance rate softened over the weekend, with 74.6% of reported auctions cleared versus 75.1% last weekend. However, auction volumes were the highest since April:
Sydney’s preliminary clearance rate softened to 76.5% of reported auctions cleared versus 80.1% last weekend. However, volumes (1,006) were well above the same weekend last year (875).
Melbourne’s preliminary auction clearance rate was largely stable, coming in at 73.5% versus 73.6% last weekend. Auction volumes (1,131) were lower than the same weekend last year (1,405).
