Australia’s farmers continue to complain about acute labor shortages due to the sharp reduction in Working Holiday Maker visa holders in Australia because of the COVID-19 pandemic:

According to the following report, “tens of thousands of fruit picking jobs [are] unfilled in Queensland” as “about 20,000 residents of Cairns and Wide Bay alone receive JobKeeper payments” and “Queensland is witnessing one of its highest unemployment rates as it sits at 7.7 per cent”:
