Australia records 1 new local COVID-19 infection

Australia recorded 6 new COVID-19 infections, down from 21 yesterday:

However, only 1 was locally acquired versus 13 yesterday:

As shown above, SA has become the nation’s COVID-19 hotspot with 18 local infections recorded over the past three days following a hotel quarantine breach.

Australia now has 88 active COVID-19 cases, 41 of which are locally acquired:

NSW has only 20 active local cases:

Victoria has only 3 active local cases:

Whereas SA has 18 active local cases:

Hopefully SA can quickly bring the situation under control. Otherwise, it risks a second wave, national isolation and shutdowns similar to that experienced in Victoria.
