Post-corruption Ken Henry calls for federal ICAC

Last week, Labor leader Anthony Albanese urged the federal government to press ahead with its proposed national integrity commission in the wake of the controversial land deal at Badgerys Creek in New South Wales, which saw the government pay $30 million for land at the site of Sydney’s new airport that was subsequently valued at just $3 million.

Now Ken Henry – the former Treasury secretary that has served Labor and Liberal governments alike – has backed Labor’s call, demanding a federal ICAC, warning Australians’ trust in democracy is at risk:
