GetUp turns useful idiot

I used to like the way GetUp stuck to the man. But now it works for him:

Stand against Morrison’s deals with the party promoting racism

Pauline Hanson’s One Nation has a long history of overt racism, spreading hate and division between communities with no regard for the damage caused.

But the Morrison Government doesn’t mind pandering to them when they want their vote.

Just this week, the Government made a shady deal with One Nation. In exchange for One Nation supporting the Government’s Bill to hike up university fees, the Government has agreed to legislation that could shield academics who openly express racist and sexist views from university disciplinary processes.1

It’s clear that the Government is willing to give One Nation whatever it wants in exchange for supporting its legislation — even if that means granting racists in the community more power.

Can you call on the Government to stop making deals with politicians and political parties that spout hate and division?

Good government should be uniting the community and celebrating our diversity – not pandering to parties that promote racism whenever it’s convenient.

In short, young political activist group based upon provoking the apathetic to “get up” and engage in the battle of ideas demands universities shut down free speech. YEEEEH…..say what?

The universities have only one target in mind in objecting to any enshrining of free speech in their charters. It has nothing to do with actual racists, of which there are almost none that I can recall. It has everything to do with their addiction to foreign student revenues which has led them to persecute any academic or student that have pointed out the obvious truth that excessive foreign student numbers have:

  • crashed pedagogical standards;
  • limited free speech;
  • corrupted chancellories;
  • installed CCP overlords into Chinese teaching, and
  • turned the entire sector into a rent-seeking leech that campaigns for open borders even amid a once per century pandemic.

In short, GetUp is demanding everybody get up to defend CCP propaganda, to defend the alienation of Aussie kids from a good education, to defend everyone catching the virus, and to defend the corruption of the tertiary elite. Dare I even mention Drew Pavlou. Where is GetUp’s support for him?

All of that in exchange to be seen not support the Red Mess.

As I observed yesterday, the Australian political economy is now so broken that reality has become indistinguishable from satire.
