As summarised earlier, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) today released its labour force report for September, which registered a massive 0.1% rise in the official unemployment rate to 6.9% off a 29,500 decrease in jobs:

Full-time jobs fell by 20,100, whereas part-time employment fell by 9,400:
