ABS job vacancies bounce back

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has released job vacancies data for the August quarter, which recorded a 59% seasonally adjusted rebound in the number of vacancies over the quarter – recovering most of May’s record fall:

However, job vacancies remained 8.0% lower year-on-year, with private sector vacancies down 8.2% and public sector vacancies down 6.8%.
