VIC records big fall in COVID-19 infections

Victoria has recorded a huge drop in COVID-19 infections but 44 new deaths; although these deaths include 22 people who died in the weeks leading up to 27 August and were reported to DHHS by aged care facilities yesterday.

It was the lowest new case count since 5 July:

And the growth rate remains well below one (0.63):
