Hotel quarantine splits Victorian Government

A rift appears to have formed between the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions (DJPR) and the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and Emergency Management Victoria (EMV) over Victoria’s bungled hotel quarantine, which seeded the state’s second virus wave and hard lockdown.

Last month, Fairfax released leaked emails revealing that DJPR warned lead agency DHHS and EMV over problems surrounding hotel quarantine in late March, but both agencies failed to take corrective action:
