NSW is still hanging in there:

A stage 4 lockdown for Melbourne must surely be under consideration now. Certainly, the AMA is calling for it:

“After a week of stage three measures, the AMA observed that the initial lockdown would need to be extended, and that is still our view,” Victorian Australian Medical Association president Julian Rait said.

“The AMA also indicated that a firmer lockdown would be a preferable strategy, as it might better protect the community, our health system and our dedicated healthcare workers from a growing wave of cases.

“The AMA believes that the current case numbers make an even stronger case for further action beyond masks,” Associate Professor Rait said.

The nightmare continues.
